Top quality heavy Turquoise and Sterling Silver pendant by Navajo silversmith Eddy Chaco. The pendant features a genuine turquoise stone, which is a gorgeous sky-blue color with a bit of dark matrix, set in a deep fancy bezel. Retrieved from one of our favorite Gallup, New Mexico pawn shops. All the jewelry from this pawn shop was pawned by Native Americans living in the local area. Gallup is the pawn capital of the Southwest, close to the Navajo and Zuni reservations.
The pendant measures 2-3/4 inch long including the small bale and it weighs 40 grams. The exact age of the pendant is unknown. It is stamped sterling and has Eddy Chaco's hallmarlk. Certificate of Authenticity included and gift box included.
Eddy Chaco is a Navajo artist known for traditional, hand wrought items. He was the silversmith for Ney Trading Post of Albuquerque, NM.
