Vintage Native American silver ring with 4 inlaid green shells set in shadowbox-like sections on an oxidized plaque. The face of the ring measures 7/8 inch by 1/2 inch. Size 6. Excellent vintage condition. Weighs about 3.2 grams. I am told the shell inlay is green snail shell.
Unmarked as to silver content, as is common for Native American jewelry from this time period, however the silver tests positive as coin silver or better. Unknown artisan. circa 1970's.
The ring is from the family estate of Manny Goodman - one-time owner of the old Covered Wagon Trading Post in Old Town Albuquerque, New Mexico.
