This fabulous Navajo Royston Turquoise and Purple Spiny Oyster bead necklace is another original design by these two popular Navajo artists. The necklace features two strands of natural Royston turquoise rondell beads, accented with nine purple spiny oyster tabs, along with small purple spiny oyster beads and fluted sterling silver beads. The spiny oyster tabs can be worn with the smooth side showing or the rough side showing. I personally like the rough side showing.
The necklace measures 18 inches long, end-to-end. The turquoise beads are a bit over 1/4 inches in diameter and the spiny oyster tabs are about 5/8 inch long by 1/2 inch wide at the widest point. The necklace is finished off with small sterling silver beads and the artists" signature handmade hammered sterling silver hook and eye.
