This fabulous vintage Native American ~ Navajo ~ turquoise and silver bracelet was obtained from a private estate collection. The bracelet features two rows of 13 turquoise stones, with a twisted silver wire running down the center and stamp work all around. The stones have mellowed with age, to all different colors of turquoise, blue and green.
The bracelet measures 5/8 inch wide and the inside end-to-end measurement is 5-1/8 inches plus there is a 1 inch adjustable gap. It weighs 18 grams.
No hallmark. This looks like an old Fred Harvey tourist piece. The bracelet came from the estate of a New York couple who collected old southwestern Native American jewelry in the 1960s through 1980s. The couple, had traveled extensively through the southwest from the 1960's to the mid 1980's, buying Indian jewelry directly from the artists.
