Fabulous Navajo hand made black obsidian bead necklace. Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock. It is produced when lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. This beautiful necklace features polished beads made from obsidian, spiny oyster shell, turquoise beads, coral beads, sugilite beads, and other stone/shell beads to create the complete necklace. All natural stones.

The beads are about 1/4 inch in diameter and the necklace measures 19 long, end-to-end. Sterling silver toggle clasp.
