This multigem inlaid band style ring is inlaid with a dazzling array of stones: The pink is rhodinite from Russia. The purple or lavender is phophosiderite from Peru. The lime green is varisite from Utah. The vivid green is Maw Sit Sit from Miramar or southeastern Asia. Instead of sterling silver channels between all the stones, Jim uses slivers of black jet.
The band style ring measures 3/8 inch wide in the front and 3/16 inch wide in the back. The inlay reaches across the front 1-3/4 inches of the ring. The ring weighs about 7 grams and it is a size 9.
The work of Jimmie Harrison is very distinctive and easily recognizable. There are few working silversmiths capable of this level of stone to stone Inlay Jewelry. Jim Harrison creates the designs and then cuts and inlays each stone himself.
