Here's another unique handmade creation by Navajo artists Everett and Mary Teller. The gorgeous tiger's eye and onyx necklace consists of a main pendant with an oval cat's eye in the center, surrounding with 8 oval and square-cut black onyx stones. The pendant is attached to 5 strands of tiger's eye, black onyx and silver beads.
The over-sized pendant measures 3 inches long by 2-3/4 inches wide. The center Tiger's Eye stone is 1 inch by 3/4 inch. Tiger's-eye, also called "tiger eye" and "tigers eye," is a very popular gemstone that displays a chatoyancy (cat's-eye) when the polished stone is moved back and forth in the light. It is a quartz gemstone, usually amber to brown in color. The pendant weighs about 65 grams.
The 21 inch long necklace consists of five strands of colorful Tiger's Eye beads mixed with Black Onyx beads and sterling silver fluted bead accents. The necklace is finished off at both ends with the Teller's signature handmade stamped sterling silver ends and hammered hook and chain.
