This vintage sterling silver cuff bracelet was created by award winning Navajo artist, Orville Tsinnie. Modernist design. It is a nice quality weight but it is hollow so it can not be adjusted or bent to fit. Please measure your wrist carefully. My wrist is 6 inches around and the bracelet is loose on me, although I could wear it this way. The bracelet is in very good condition with only very light surface scratches from normal wear. No repairs or damage.

Size large. The bracelet is 1/2 inch wide with an inside end to end measurement of 5-3/4 inches long end-to-end plus there is a non-adjustable 1-1/8 inch gap. It weighs 45.8 grams which is more then 1-1/2 ounces.

Hallmarked by the artist, Orville Tsinnie. Older hallmark with the artist's name and two Shiprock symbols and New Mexico in script. The exact age of the bracelet is unknown but based upon the hallmark, I would guess it to be from the 1980's.

I have known Orville, his wife and their children since 2009, when I first met them at the Indian Arts & Crafts Association (IACA) wholesale market.

Orville Tsinnie was a master Navajo silversmith who started making jewelry in the 1970s and won numerous awards, including a Lifetime Achievement award from the Indian Arts and Crafts Association (IACA). The level of craftsmanship in Orville's work was superior. His designs were flawlessly executed, his soldering technique very clean, and his finishing and polishing meticulous. This careful attention to detail sets Orville's jewelry apart from many others. Regretfully, Orville Tsinnie passed away in May of 2017. He is deeply missed.
