Fabulous Native American handmade pendant, created by Navajo micro-inlay artist, Matthew Jack, featuring intricate fascinating Navajo inspired designs. Matthew uses the night ceremony theme often in his work. Traditional Navajo healing ceremonies are performed at night in the winter months and the Yei'bi'chei (Navajo holy people) play a significant role. Set in silver, the pendant is intricately inlaid with hundreds of tiny hand-cut, semi-precious stones such as turquoise, spiny oyster and colorful lab opal. There are many tiny sterling silver inlaid dots to represent stars. The bale is also inlaid with stars on a black night sky background.
The pendant measures 2-3/8 inches long including the inlaid bale, by 1 inch wide by 1/4 inch thick. It weighs 14.5 grams. The oval inlaid bale can accommodate a necklace 5/8 inches by 3/8 inches. Shown here with a 8mm silver bead necklace (sold separately).
Brand new and in perfect condition. Gift Box and Certificate of Authenticity included. Hallmarked by the artist, Matthew Jack. Matthew creates amazing works of art!
