Here's a very elegant pair of vintage Zuni turquoise petitpoint silver earrings. The earrings measure 1-1/8 long. These earrings are screw-backs, for non-pierced ears. The end of one of the screw-backs is missing, but the screw-backs are still functional. You just have to be careful and not turn the screw to the very end or it will fall out.
The turquoise stones have turned various shades of mellow green and turquoise and one of the stones is cracked but secure in its bezel. As is the case more often that not with the earlier Native American jewelry, these pieces is not marked for silver content. However, they test positive as coin silver (.900/90%) or sterling silver (.925/92.5%). circa 1970's.
