Native American Zuni Sleeping Beauty turquoise needlepoint sterling silver cluster. Retrieved from the vault of a respected New Mexico pawn shop. The center cluster and two side pieces are mounted on a three wire sterling silver bracelet frame that joins at the back. All stones intact. No cracks or chips.
Zuni artists are known for their intricate needlepoint and petit point jewelry. Needlepoint style is when an oval stone ground to fine points at both ends and set in a silver bezel. Zuni artists are known for their attention to detail.
The bracelet measures 2-1/2 inch wide at the front with an inner measurement of 5-5/8 inches end to end plus a 1-1/8 inch opening gap. Weighs 46.5 grams.
As is the case more often that not with the earlier Native American jewelry, this piece is not marked by the maker. However, it is stamped Sterling. Excellent vintage condition. The exact age of the bracelet is unknown.
