This handmade sterling silver overlay pendant was created by award winning Navajo artists, Everett & Mary Teller. The silver overlay is clean, bold and elegant! Set with a large oval Natural Kingman turquoise stone. Please ignore the reflections of the camera that can be seen in the highly polished sterling silver.
The pendant measures 4-3/8 inches long including the over-sized bale and weighs 17 grams. The Kingman turquoise stone is a beautiful greenish blue color with honey colored matrix. The stone is in perfect condition - no cracks in the stone! The bale has a usable interior of over 3/8 inch.

Silver Overlay is a process of soldering one piece of silver, from which a design has been cut, over another piece of silver. The top layer is a handmade, hand cut overlay created from a sheet of sterling that is then bonded to the base layer of sterling. The base layer background is usually oxidized, which turns the silver surface black. The oxidation brings out a contrast between the two pieces and makes the individual designs more visible.
