Looking for the perfect silver bead necklace from which to hang your latest Native American pendant? These 6mm Navajo Pearls are the solution. The necklace is 16-inches long.
These Sterling Silver bead necklaces feature beautiful machine-made bench beads, hand soldered, hand finished and hand strung by Navajo silversmith Marilyn Platero. The beads are finished with an oxidized or antiqued brushed satin finish that gives them a subdued, rich tone. The necklaces look great alone, layered, or with a pendant of your choice. This type necklace is sometimes referred to as Navajo Pearls
A lot of people use the term bench bead incorrectly. The definition of bench beads are beads that are partially manufactured and partially hand made. Usually the silversmith starts with some machine cut pieces, which are then soldered and strung by hand. In this case, each HALF of a bead is machine made and then the Navajo silversmith solders the two halves together, then polishes and finishes the beads with an oxidation process and strings the necklace by hand.
