This classic vintage Native American ~ Navajo ~ turquoise and silver shadowbox bracelet was obtained from one of the most respected pawn shops in Gallup, New Mexico. This piece features five Sleeping Beauty turquoise stones set in a shadowbox design with stamp work all around. This piece is hallmarked Navajo H.S.B. which looks like the hallmark of Howard S Begay, but it does not have the Navajo Guild stamp. Perhaps made before he worked at the Navajo Guild. circa 1970's.
The bracelet measures 1-7/8 inch wide and the inside end-to-end measurement is 5-3/8 inches plus there is a 1 inch non-adjustable gap. It weighs 97.4 grams, which is almost 3-1/2 ounces! This bracelet has not been cleaned, as many collectors prefer the old patina.
