These Navajo Dead Pawn sterling silver & turquoise earrings were obtained from our favorite little pawn shop in Gallup, New Mexico. All the jewelry from this pawn shop was pawned by Native Americans living in the local area. Gallup is the pawn capital of the Southwest, close to the Navajo and Zuni reservations.
The earrings measure 1-1/8 inch long by 7/8 wide. Stamped Sterling. Each earring weighs 3.7 grams. The earrings are hollow with cut-out peekaboo designs and stampwork. The age of the earrings is unknown. Clip-on style.
