TUMBLEWEEDS JEWELRY
Genuine Native American Indian Navajo Zuni Hopi Kewa Sterling Silver Jewelry
Effective October 1, 2019, I can no longer sell or ship jewelry to customers residing in the state of Kansas due to Kansas's extremely complicated remote seller sales tax laws. In order to ship to Kansas, I would be required to collect and remit city, state and local sales tax on all items shipped to Kansas. There are more than 900 different sales tax jurisdictions in Kansas. ALL other states in the U.S. have a small seller exemption for small sellers like me. Hopefully Kansas lawmakers will remedy this situation soon. I apologize for this inconvenience.

Here's a unique necklace, created by Navajo artist, Mildred Parkhurst. Mildred uses authentic old Mercury dime coins to create this necklace. The dimes used in this necklace were minted from 1924 to 1944. The coins are commonly known by the misnomer Mercury dimes, although they contain no mercury and although the figure on the coin is often thought to be the Roman god Mercury, is in fact a depiction of Liberty (a Winged Liberty Head design). The Mercury dime is considered to be one of the most visually appealing of all U.S. coins, and is highly sought after by collectors.

The necklace has 12 Mercury dimes and a big silver naja set with a natural Turquoise Mountain stone. The beads are machine made. The necklace has been oxidized to create an old vintage pawn look.

The necklace measures 28 inches from end to end and 14-1/2 inches long from the back of the neck to the bottom of the naja. The naja measures 2 inches by 2-1/8 inches.

Also included is a matching pair of silver naja earrings. The najas measure 1 inch by 1 inch and each earring weighs 4.8 grams.

Brand new and in perfect condition. Gift Box and Authenticity Card included. Hallmarked M and sterling by the artist. Note: The lighting in some of the photos, makes the dimes on one side of the necklace look more gold in color than silver. That is only the lighting. Be assured that the necklace is all silver in color.
