Fabulous Navajo hand made turquoise and sterling silver Butterfly necklace. This is another original design by Navajo artists, Everett & Mary Teller. This beautiful necklace features three butterflies with natural Kingman turquoise bodies. The stones are in perfect shape with a few matrix lines (which are not cracks in the stones). The center butterfly is 3 inches wide from wing tip to wing tip and 1-5/8 inches tall. The necklace is finished off with a handmade hammered silver chain.

The necklace measures 18 inches long, end-to-end, but the length can be adjusted to a shorter length as needed. Or a necklace extender can be used if a longer length is desired. I think it is the perfect length - not to tight around your neck yet short enough to be above most necklines.

Brand new and in perfect condition. Gift Box and Certificate of Authenticity included. Hallmarked by and purchased directly from the artists. All of their pieces are signed with their initials EMT encased with a fish symbolizing their Christian faith.

One of a kind Navajo handmade necklace created by two of the Navajo jewelry world's premier artists.

Silver Overlay is a process of soldering one piece of silver, from which a design has been cut, over another piece of silver. The top layer is a handmade, hand cut overlay created from a sheet of sterling that is then bonded to the base layer of sterling. The base layer background is usually oxidized oxidized, which turns the silver surface black. The oxidation brings out a contrast between the two pieces and makes the individual designs more visible.
