The face of the ring measures almost 1-1/8 inch tall by 3/8inch wide. It weighs 7 grams and is a size 8-1/2. Brand new in perfect condition. It is stamped sterling and has Shirley Henry's hallmark. Certificate of Authenticity included and gift box included.

Ribbon turquoise, or boulder turquoise as it is sometimes called, occurs when a stone cutter takes natural Vein Turquoise (turquoise in its natural host rock) and cuts in the direction to create the vein going through the rock like a ribbon or splotches of turquoise in the host rock. In the olden days, if a turquoise vein was too thin to be cut into a cabachon, the miners would throw it away. Nowadays, Ribbon Turquoise is very popular in Native American jewelry.
