Navajo silversmith Derrick Gordon was born in Gallup, NM in 1971 and was taught the art of working with silver by his uncle, Delbert Gordon. He is now well known for his heavy, traditional silverwork which he often combines with top grade natural turquoise stones. He specializes in old pawn style jewelry with beautiful hand stamped designs and is considered an expert in old style jewelry and makes all his own stamps.
