Up for your consideration is this fabulous Native American made Pietersite sterling silver pendant that was handcrafted by Navajo silversmith, Phillip Sanchez. Petersite is an amazingly beautiful and unusual stone with a myriad of subtly changing shimmering colors. The pendant features a large oval Pietersite stone and measures 1-5/8 inches long, including the over-sized bale by 1 inch wide at the widest point and weighs about 13 grams. The bale can handle a necklace up to 1/4 inch in diameter.
A fancy 18-inch sterling silver chain is also included with the pendant. Matching pietersite earrings that were made by a different artist can be purchased with the pendant.
Pietersite is sometimes called Hawk's Eye or Eagle's Eye and was discovered by Sid Pieters in 1962. The structure of the fibrous streaks in pietersite can flow or exist in many directions side-by-side like bold paint strokes. Colors include various blues, golds and reds, that may appear together or alone. The fibrous color variations have a superb and striking chatoyancy, the bright and subtly changing shimmer of color that moves along the surface of a gemstone as it is viewed from varying angles.
Brand new in perfect condition. Stamped sterling and with Phillip Sanchez's hallmark. Certificate of Authenticity included and gift box included.
