The maiden's shirt is inlaid with colorful abalone shell. The rest of the stones and shells used are turquoise, coral, jet and white MOP.

The pendant combination measures 2-1/4 inch long and 1 inch wide. It weighs 12 grams and has Madeline's hallmark (MB). Brand new and in perfect condition. Hallmarked by the artist. Gift box and Certificate of Authenticity included with your purchase.

Madeline has been creating mosiac inlay style jewelry since the 1950's. Madeline was married at one time to the late Zuni silversmith, Eddie A. Beyuka, and did the lapidary work for him. After their divorce, she continued on her own and did the silver work and lapidary work herself. Her favorite designs are this olla maiden and the eagle dancer. The maiden is in the traditional formal wear for Zuni women. She wears a black manta, blouse, sash, apron, moccasins and a necklace. There's a colorful pottery piece on her head.
