Native American handcrafted turquoise and silver pendant with a big natural King's Manassa Turquoise stone from Colorado. The light blue-green Manassa turquoise stones with golden matrix is set in a straight bezel and accented with twisted silver rope and a fancy scalloped silver setting.
The pendant is 1-7/8 inch long, counting the bale, by 1-1/8 inch wide and weighs 15 grams. A nice 18-inch sterling silver chain as shown is also included with your purchase. Brand new and in perfect condition. Gift box and Certificate of Authenticity included. Hallmarked by the artist, Joe Piasso.
The King Manassa site was originally mined by Ancestral Pueblo peoples and later rediscovered in 1890 by gold prospector L.P. King. His descendants still work the claim. King's Manassa turquoise is best known for its brilliant greens and golden matrices, but blue and blue-green turquoise was found amid these deposits as well. (From Turquoise Unearthed pg 56.)
