This top-quality sterling silver and turquoise bracelet was created by Navajo silversmith, Virgil Begay, deceased. Virgil had a passion for excellence - using an old pawn finish and choosing the best quality stones.

This bracelet has three genuine Royston turquoise stones, set in straight bezels and surrounded with twisted sterling silver rope and stamped silver beads. The gorgeous green Royston turquoise stones really "pop" against the dark oxidized old pawn finish. The stones are stabilized for strength and long-lasting beauty. Turquoise by nature is very porous and needs to be sealed to maintain its original color. Stabilized turquoise is submerged into a stabilizing compound, most likely an epoxy resin. The natural capillary action of the porous stone draws this stabilizing compound throughout the stone. It is then dried, cut, drilled, cabbed, etc. and prepared for jewelry. The turquoise has not been altered. The pores of the stone have been filled with a clear resin that makes the stone usable.

The bracelet measures 1-1/4" wide at the widest point, 5-1/4" inside end-to-end plus a carefully adjustable 1-1/4" opening gap. As reference, my wrist is 6 around (see last photo) and the bracelet is slightly loose on me, but the gap could be adjusted to fit. It weighs a 48 grams.

Exceptional quality and workmanship.

Brand new in perfect condition. It is stamped sterling and has Virgil Begay's hallmark. Certificate of Authenticity included and gift box included.
