Native American heavy gauge sterling silver cuff bracelet, hand made by Navajo master silversmith, Fidel Bahe. The bracelet measures 1/2 wide with an inside end-to-end inside measurement of 5-7/8 plus 1-1/4 gap. Item#3085

This Native American handmade heavy gauge sterling silver repousse & stamped bracelet, was created by the master Native American silversmith, Fidel Bahe. Down in the old traditional style.

The bracelet measures measures 1/2 wide with an inside end-to-end inside measurement of 5-7/8 plus 1-1/4 gap. My wrist measures 6 around and the bracelet is big on me.

Fidel Bahe was born on the Navajo Reservation in 1949. Fidel, self-taught, began producing silverwork at the age of 24. In 1976, Preston Monongye took Fidel in as an apprentice and taught him the fundamentals and techniques to become a great jeweler. After 10 months of apprenticeship he showed his jewelry at Santa Fe Indian Market, winning ribbons for all of the pieces he entered. Fidel's work is very distinctive. He enjoys making silverwork the old, traditional way, and is known for his tufa and sand cast designs. His original silverwork has won many awards throughout the United States, including first place in jewelry - metal-smithing at the IACA 2010 spring show.
