This Native American handmade Sterling Silver ring is set with a beautiful ribbon turquoise stone. An irregular 'ribbon" of light blue turquoise runs across the medium brown colored host rock. Royston Ribbon is one of the most popular stones being used in Native American jewelry today.

The face of the ring measure 1-1/8 long by 9/16 wide. The stone is set in a deep plain bezel, that really shows off the stone. Wide triple split shank. Size 5-3/4.

Brand new and in perfect condition. Created by an unknown Native American artist. Gift box and Certificate of Authenticity included with your purchase. Matching bracelet also available - see item #2862

Ribbon turquoise, or boulder turquoise as it is sometimes called, occurs when a stone cutter takes natural Vein Turquoise (turquoise in its natural host rock) and cuts in the direction to create the vein going through the rock like a ribbon or splotches of turquoise in the host rock. In the olden days, if a turquoise vein was too thin to be cut into a cabachon, the miners would throw it away. Now it is used in jewelry like this ring.
