I am pleased to offer these amazing handmade Variscite earrings by Navajo artist Jim Harrison. Variscite is a stone similar to turquoise. The main differences between variscite and turquoise is that turquoise is bluer due to its content of copper, where variscite usually has more of a green color. Variscite and turquoise also differ in hardness on the Mohs scale of hardness. (Variscite is softer). The stones used in these earrings have been stabilized, to improve their hardness and protect them from scratches and breakage. Please ignore the reflections showing up in the sparkling sterling silver.
The earrings measure 3/4 inch tall by 3/4 inch wide and 1/8 inch thick. The earrings weigh 4 grams each. Large comfort post backs. Brand new and in perfect condition.
