Large Zuni Horse fetish, created by an unknown Zuni carver, carved from black jet. The fetish measures about 3 inches long by 1-5/8 inches tall by 1 inch deep and weighs 48 grams. Turquoise inlaid eyes. There is no signature on the fetish, and I am sorry to say I don't remember who carved it. This fetish is from my private collection and was purchased by me about 10 years ago from Keishi, the Zuni fetish store in Santa Fe. I am downsizing my collection. Horse affords mobility that gives us freedom and power. Our relationship to Horse differs from relationships between man and any other animal because it is a relationship requiring a deep understanding, without which the strength and benefits of Horse are inaccessible.
