Here's a fantastic vintage handmade beaded necklace with a large teardrop shaped turquoise and silver centerpiece that we purchased from large private estate collection of vintage Native American jewelry from the 1960-70's.
The 3-1/2 tall by 2-1/8 wide centerpiece is a teardrop-shaped shadowbox with cut-out designs and two genuine turquoise stones. The beaded 26 long necklace has four different types of hollow handmade beads.
There is no artist's hallmark nor any indication of the silver content,
as is often the case for Native American jewelry from this time period, but it tests positive as coin silver (.900/90%) or sterling silver (.925/92.5%). Excellent condition, needing only a gentle polish.
From private collection. circa 1960-70's.
