This old pawn style pendant has a beautiful high-grade Skyhorse turquoise stone. Kirk usually sets his jewelry with high-quality stones in vibrant colors and interesting natural matrix patterns and this Skyhorse stone is no exception - with its dazzling green-blue color and finely webbed black matrices. The stone has been perfectly polished and set in a fancy hand-cut bezel, surrounded with superb repousse silver work. The 2 long pendant is attached to an extra large silver bale covered in fancy silverwork, large enough to handle beads or a necklace up to 3/4 diameter. The pendant and bale reach a total combined length of 3-1/8 and weight of 36.6 grams.

Kirk Smith passed away on September 17, 2012. At the time of his death, Kirk had surpassed his mentor, the late Harry Morgan, as the reigning practitioner of classic revivalist Navajo design.
