Here's a simple Navajo handcrafted sterling silver pendant set with a Larimar stone. Larimar is a rather rare stone that comes from an island off the Dominican Republic. The stone has a volcanic origin and the color varies from blue, light blue, green to silk white. The stone only came on the market in the 1970's and its use in Native American jewelry is rather recent. In fact it's one of the hottest new stones being used in Native American jewelry today.

The stone is set in an engraved and notched shadowbox setting with a twisted rope surrounding the stone. The pendant measures 1-1/2" long, including the over-sized bale, by 7/8" wide at the widest point. The bale can accommodate a necklace or beads up to 1/4" wide.
The pendant weighs about 10 grams.
