Here's an elegant Navajo handcrafted sterling silver pendant set with a gorgeous piece of natural agate. The unusual translucent stone is set in a deeply carved shadowbox setting. Agates are formed in areas known for their ancient volcanic activity. This agate has beautiful circular banded patterns of purple, gray, dusty rose .

It was difficult to obtain a clear picture because the stone is so polished, picking up reflections from the surrounding lights & objects. The pendant measures over 2-1/4" long, including the large bale, by 1-1/4" wide at the widest point. The large bale will accommodate a chain or beads up to 1/4" wide. Weighs 18.7 grams.
