This Navajo dead pawn handcrafted turquoise heishi necklace was recently obtained from my favorite little pawn shop in Gallup, New Mexico. All the jewelry from this pawn shop was pawned by Native Americans living in the local area.

This Native American Navajo double strand turquoise heishi necklace is strung with genuine turquoise nuggets, separated by olive shell heishi.

The necklace hangs down 16" from the back of the neck. Can be tied-untied to create a different length. Add a set of jaclas for a different look altogether.

This is a true dead pawn item obtained from a real New Mexico pawn shop. The exact age of the necklace is unknown. My pawn shop dealers have informed me that over the past few years, less & less Native Americans are letting their pawned jewelry go dead - which is good news for the Indians but not so good news for collectors.
