About the artist: Born at San Felipe pueblo, Charlene married into the Reano family of Santo Domingo Pueblo. Charlene's style of inlaid earrings and bracelets dates back to pre-historic Anasazi times. Influenced by her mother in law Clara Reano and encouraged by her sister in law Angie Reano, Charlene first started jewelery making with her husband Frank Reano in the 1980s.
Her intricate mosaic work has been recognized with ribbons and awards at Eight Northern Pueblo Show and the prestigious Santa Fe Indian Market, among others. Her work is highly collectible.
