The pendant features a beautifully etched inlaid cardinal. The scene is inlaid with genuine turquoise, coral, jet and other semi-precious stones & shells on a shimmering Mother of Pearl background. The detailed inlay is impeccable. The pendant measures 1-1/2" long by 5/8" wide and weighs 4 grams.

About the artist: Harlan has been creating beautiful inlaid jewelry since 1975. Harlan Coonsis is the son of Juan Coonsis and Lorraine Nastacio, from whom he is said to have learned silversmithing and jewelry production. Originally, Harlan Coonsis collaborated with his first wife, Rolanda. He did the silverwork, and she did the stonework. More recently, he has collaborated with his present wife Monica. When working by himself and with Rolanda, Harlan signed his work with H. R. COONSIS ZUNI or HRC ZUNI. When working with Monica he has used H. M. COONSIS.
