Vintage Zuni Sunface Headdress Silver Pin / Pendant, Harlan Coonsis

Old vintage Zuni handcrafted sterling silver inlaid sunface head-dress pin/pendant, attributed to Harlan & Rolanda Coonsis. Hallmarked HRC. Measures 2" wide. Item# 2006

Collectible vintage Native American ~Zuni~ handmade inlaid sun face pin and pendant combination. Inlaid with turquoise, coral, jet and white shell. The piece is in very good vintage condition, the inlay is all intact and still colorful. The surface just needs to be rubbed a bit with a silver polishing cloth, to remove light surface marks, typical of normal wear. The pendant measure 2" wide and weighs 26 grams. Attributed to Harlan and Rolanda Coonsis.

Harlan has been creating beautifull inlaid jewelry since 1975. Originally, Harlan Coonsis collaborated with his first wife, Rolanda. He did the silverwork, and she did the stonework. More recently, he has collaborated with his present wife Monica. When working by himself and with Rolanda, Harlan signed his work with H. R. COONSIS ZUNI or HRC ZUNI. This pin is hallmarked HRC with an engraver, without the word Zuni. I am assuming this pin pendant was created by Harlan or Harlan & Rolanda, but I am not 100% sure. 

To avoid capturing the camera reflection in the silver pin, I had to take the pictures at an angle. This sometimes distorst the shape of the perfectly round pin.
