Navajo Jim Harrison Micro Inlay Pendant / Necklace

Multistone inlaid silver pendant / necklace by renown Navajo artist, Jimmie Harrison. Inlaid with an array of semiprecious stones & shells. Pendant measures a bit over 3/4" in diameter. Includes 16" black jet bead non-Indian made necklace. Item #3342

$ 150.00     Available: 1     Back

This top-quality contemporary multigem inlaid sterling silver pendant was created by reknown Navajo artist, Jim Harrison. The pendant is impeccably inlaid with an array of stones: turquoise, coral, pink rhodochrosite and white quartz. There are sterling silver dots "stars" accenting the night sky. The pendant measures a bit over 3/4" in diameter. A non-Indian made 16" black jet beaded necklace is also included.

There are few working silversmiths capable of this level of stone to stone Inlay Jewelry. Many people upon seeing Jim Harrison Jewelry think these designs are painted. He credits Preston Monongya and Jessie Monongya for his success as a fine jewelry artisan. They shared their techniques with him and opened up his mind to his own designs. It is believed that Preston, Jesse, and Jim were among the first jewelers to work extensively with inlay of multicolored stones and shells with silver.

Please ignore the reflections showing in the pendant in several of the photos.
