Navajo Micro Inlay Sterling Silver Ring sz8, Jim Harrison

Top quality contemporary Native American inlaid silver ring by Navajo artist, Jimmy Harrison. Inlaid with an array of semiprecious stones & shells. The round two-level face of the ring measures almost 3/4" diameter. Weighs 7.8 grams. Size 8 only. Item #2300

$ 185.00     Available: 1     Back

Here is a top-quality contemporary multigem inlaid sterling silver ring, created by world wide recognized Navajo artist, Jim Harrison. The ring is impeccably inlaid with an array of colorful stones & shells: different types of turquoise, coral, sugilite, lapis and more. Instead of sterling silver channels between all the stones, the artist used slivers of black jet. The face of the ring measures 3/4" in diameter (wide)and the band narrows to about 1/8" in the back. Weighs 7.8 grams. Size 8 only.

Brand new & in perfect condition. The turquoise has naturally occurring matrix in it, which may look like cracks or chips in the photos, but there are no cracks or chips in the inlay. Hallmarked by the artist. Certificate of Authenticity and gift box included with your purchase.

The work of Jimmy Harrison is very distinctive and easily recognizable. He works primarily with sterling silver and authentic multi-colored inlaid stones. There are few working silversmiths capable of this level of stone to stone Inlay Jewelry. Many people upon seeing Jim Harrison Jewelry think these designs are painted. Jim Harrison creates these designs and then cuts and inlays each stone himself.

He credits Preston Monongya and Jessie Monongya for his success as a fine jewelry artisan. They shared their techniques with him and opened up his mind to his own designs. It is believed that Preston, Jesse, and Jim were among the first jewelers to work extensively with inlay of multicolored stones and shells with silver.
