Clayton Tom, Navajo, Multigem Micro Inlay Necklace & Earring Set

Navajo handcrafted multi-gem micro inlay sterling silver necklace & earring set, by Clayton Tom. Innovative & contemporary Native American handcrafted necklace with matching earrings. Yeis, arrows, stars on a bed of black jet. Clayton Tom is one of the finest inlay artists working today! Item# 1880

$ 875.00     SOLD     Back

Here is a contemporary Native American handcrafted Sterling Silver Multi-gem Micro-Inlaid Link Necklace, created by Navajo artist, Clayton Tom. Clayton Tom is considered by many to be one of the best Navajo inlay artist working today, along with Calvin Begay, Ervin Tsosie and Sammy Smith (All of whose jewelry we carry on our website).

This incredible necklace features 9 micro-inlaid links inlaid with a multitude of semi-precious stones. Turquoise, lapis, gaspeite, coral, Mother of Pearl, lab opal, and small dots of sterling silver are meticulously inlaid on a background of Acoma jet black. The last links on each side are inlaid with solid lapis lazuli. The necklace is absolutely breathtaking is both design, artistry and craftsmanship. The colorful channel inlay is impeccable, just like every piece of Clayton Tom jewelry.

The necklace measures 3/8" wide at the widest point in the center and it measures about 17" around the inner edge. It's a loose choker style necklace. The back of every inlaid link is solid sterling silver, while the backs of the non-inlaid silver links are open. By leaving the backs of the silver links open, the weight as well as the price of the necklace is reduced, without sacrificing the structure and beauty of the necklace.

The matching drop earrings measure 1" long, not including the french hooks. Brand new and in perfect condition. Certificate of Authenticity and Gift box included with your purchase.

Clayton Tom is an award winning artist, jeweler, designer and master craftsman. His amazing jewelry has consistently earned him top awards at major jewelry art shows and Indian markets and led to his recognition as one of the great masters of micro-inlay design and technique. His jewelry is always in big demand and frequently in short supply and hard to find. Don't miss out on this fine example of his work!
