Vintage Navajo Hollow Disk Inlaid Turquoise Bead Necklace

One of a kind vintage Navajo Hand Made Hollow Sterling Silver Disk bead necklace. Twenty-one beads are inlaid with genuine turquoise around the edges. Beads graduating in size from 7/8" diameter for the center beads to 1/4" diameter beads at either end. Measures 25" long. From private collection, circa 1960-70's. Item#9023

We recently purchased a private estate collection of spectacular vintage Native American jewelry and this collection contained several items, the likes of which we have rarely or never seen! This handmade hollow silver disk bead necklace is one such item. The edges (circumferences) of the 21 center beads are beautifully inlaid with Sleeping Beauty turquoise (on the curvature). The silver beads graduate in size from 7/8" diameter for the center beads down to 1/4" diameter beads at either end. The necklace measures 25" long.

As is the case more often that not with the earlier Native American jewelry, this piece is not marked for silver content or maker. However, I guarantee that it is coin silver (.900/90%) or sterling silver (.925/92.5%). There are no artist markings. Excellent condition & vintage patina, needing only a polish by the new owner.
