Large Vintage Native American silver ring with 8 needlepoint stones set in serrated bezels on a large oxidized plaque. There is twisted silver rope creating four shallow shadowboxes with two turquoise stones in each. The face of the ring measures 1-3/4" by 7/8" and curves slightly to lay nicely against your finger. Size 6-1/4. Excellent vintage condition. Weighs 6.3 grams.
Unmarked as to silver content, as is common for Native American jewelry from this time period, however the silver tests positive as coin silver or better. Unknown artisan. circa 1970's.
The ring is from the family estate of Manny Goodman - one-time owner of the old Covered Wagon Trading Post in Old Town Albuquerque, New Mexico. The trading post still exists on the plaza, but it is owned by different people now.
