Native American Dead Pawn Channel Inlay Ring Sz7-1/2

Dead Pawn Native American made inlaid ring. Channel inlay what appears to be red spiny oyster. Plain silver setting. 1-3/8" long by 1/2" wide. Hallmarked H. Smith. Size 7-1/2. Item#3486

$ 39.00     Available: 1     Back

This Dead Pawn Native American handcrafted sterling silver ring was recently obtained from my favorite little pawn shop in Gallup, New Mexico. The jewelry from this pawn shop was pawned by Native Americans living in the local area. Gallup is the "pawn capital" of the Southwest, close to the Navajo and Zuni reservations.

The face of the ring measures 1-3/8" long by 1/2" wide. 3-wire ring shank. Weighs 7 grams. Size 7-1/2. The ring is unmarked for silver content, but tests positive as coin silver or better. Hallmarked H. Smith.

This is an actual dead pawn item obtained from a real New Mexico pawn shop. The exact age of the ring is unknown. This particular pawn shop honors the privacy rights of their Native American clients by not transferring the actual tickets to buyers when pieces are purchased out  of pawn.
