This Santo Domingo hand made necklace & earring set features beautiful inlaid tabs and graduated turquoise heishi. The necklace & earrings were created by Rudy & Mary Coriz, from natural semi-precious stones.
First the necklace: it features an inlaid tab, 1-1/16" long by 13/16" wide by 1/2" thick, and graduated hand made, drilled & polished turquoise heishi. The necklace measures about 20" long, end to end, not including the tab and it measures about 11" long from the back of the neck to the bottom of the tab. Finished with Sterling silver beads and c-clasp. This necklace is a masterpiece of inlay work and handmade heishi beads. Please note: natural matrix spots can be seen in the necklace - these are not cracks or chips..just dark matrix.
Next the earrings: they measure 1 " long, not counting the ear-wires, by 3/4" wide, by 3/16" thick and weigh 4.3 grams each. Sterling silver ear-wires. The design and stones used match those on the necklace.
Stones used: turquoise, pipestone, apple coral, black jet, serpentine, yellow serpentine, and others. Inlaid on black penn shell or black jet.
