This old pawn style Sterling Silver & Turquoise belt buckle was created by well-known Navajo artist Daniel "Sunshine" Reeves. The buckle is covered with complex engraved and hand stamped geometric designs and has an "antique" finish and fancy scalloped edges.

Sunshine Reeves is one of the best Navajo artists working in the Revival style using heavy stamp work, along with his brother, Gary Reeves. This buckle is an example of his talent with stamps. The deep, methodical stamping gives the buckle a wonderful effect.

The buckle measures 3-1/8" long by 2-7/8" high and will fit a belt width of up to 1-1/2" wide. The buckle weighs 74.5 grams. Brand new in perfect condition. It is stamped sterling and has Sunshine Reeve's hallmark. Certificate of Authenticity included and gift box included.

Sunshine Reeves' older brothers, Gary Reeves and David Reeves, taught him the craft of   silver-smithing. He is a world-renowned artist, taking several 'Best of Show' awards and 1st place ribbons at various shows and Indian Markets. His jewelry is also shown at the Peabody Museum and the Heard Museum. This buckle is a wise investment and a super-looking piece to wear and enjoy!
