This impressive sterling silver turquoise bracelet was made by the late Navajo silversmith, Kirk Smith. Kirk studied under the late Harry Morgan, making classic revivalist Navajo jewelry. Kirk's distinctive old pawn style jewelry is among the most sought-after Native American jewelry in the southwest.

This bracelet features a large genuine Skyhorse turquoise stone set in a 5-wire old pawn style silver cuff covered with applied repousse & beaded silverwork. The high grade Skyhorse turquoise stone is bright teal color (good match to earrings#4571) and it measures 1-1/4 long by 7/8 wide.

The stone is set in a fancy filed bezel on a five wire shank cuff with the old pawn finish that Kirk Smith is known for. The bracelet measures 1-5/8 wide at the front narrowing to 1/2 wide at the terminals. It has an inside end-to-end measurement of 5-1/16 plus a non-adjustable opening gap of 1-1/8. My wrist is 6 around and the bracelet fits me well. The bracelet weighs 79.3 grams.

Brand new in perfect condition. Stamped sterling and has Kirk Smith's hallmark on the inside of one of the bracelet's terminals. Certificate of Authenticity included and gift box included.

Kirk Smith's style combines careful craftsmanship, traditional design, and old style solid stone settings. His work is distinctive, and many know when they see a Kirk Smith piece who the artist is without even having to look at the hallmark.

Kirk Smith died tragically on Monday, September 17, 2012. At the time of his death, Kirk had arguably replaced his mentor, the late Harry Morgan, as the reigning practitioner of classic revivalist Navajo design.

We currently have a small selection of Kirk's bracelets, earrings and pendants available. But once they are gone, they're gone! Don't miss your chance to add some of his fine jewelry to your Native American Indian jewelry collection.
