Madeline Beyuka Zuni Eagle Dancer Inlay Pin Pendant

Zuni inlaid Eagle Dancer pin / pendant, created by well-known Zuni artist Madeline Beyuka. 2" long by 1-5/8" wide. Carved inlay of genuine turquoise, coral, abalone, black jet & MOP. Item# 2014

$ 124.99     Available: 1     Back

This incredibly detailed "Eagle Dancer" pin-pendant combination is a wonderful example of traditional Zuni stone-to-stone inlay jewelry, created by well-known Zuni artist, Madeline Beyuka. The inlay is carved to make the feathers look real and to give the figure added dimension.

Madeline has been creating mosaic inlay style jewelry since the 1950's. Madeline was married at one time to the late Zuni silversmith, Eddie A. Beyuka, and did the lapidary work for him. After their divorce, she continued on her own and did the silver work and lapidary work herself. Her favorite designs are this olla maiden and the eagle dancer.

The eagle dancer measures 2" long and 1-5/8" wide and weighs 15.2 grams approximately. Pendant may vary slightly from picture. The bale can handle a chain 1/8" wide. 18" Sterling silver chain available for an extra charge.

Brand new and in perfect condition. Hallmarked by the artist, Madeline Beyuka. Gift Box and Certificate of Authenticity included with your purchase.
