Authentic Native American handmade turquoise sterling silver ring, created by well-known Zuni artist, Effie Calavaza (Effie C.) This is the snake design upon which Effie C's reputation and world-wide recognition has been built. Natural hand-cut genuine turquoise stones. And the snakes have tiny turquoise inlaid eyes.

The face of the ring measures 1-1/8" tall by 7/8" wide. The shank is highly polished sterling silver narrowing in the back to 1/8" wide. Weighs 21.1 grams. Size 10.

Brand new and in perfect condition. Gift box and Certificate of Authenticity included. Hallmarked Effie C. No Native American jewelry collection is complete without several pieces by Effie C.

Well known for her distinctive silver snake and turquoise nugget design, Effie Calavaza started working in the mid-1950s. Learning from and working with her husband, Juan Calavaza, Effie has passed her design along to her daughters Georgiana Yatsatti, Gloria Jean Garcia and Susie Calavaza. She and her daughters all sign their work with EFFIE C.—ZUNI. You can read about this fine Zuni artist here: www.ohio.edu/museum/zuni/e_calavaza.html
