Here is a nice sandcast sterling silver pendant in the shape of a Spanish naja, set with three genuine turquoise stones. Created by Navajo silversmith, Eugene S Mitchell.

The crescent shaped naja is one of the most familiar forms in Navajo indian jewelry, although it comes from outside the Navajo culture. It is thought to have originated in the Old World as a Spanish horse gear - a third eye placed on the animals forehead to ward off evil. It is often used as a focus piece in squash blossom necklaces.

The pendant measures 2-1/2 wide by 3-1/4 tall, including the over-sized bale, which can handle beads up to 3/4 wide. The pendant weighs 49.9 grams.

Brand new and in perfect condition. Hallmarked by the artist. Certificate of Authenticity and gift box included with your purchase. 100% money back guarantee.

Add one of our antiqued silver beaded necklaces (as shown in the last photo) for a complete southwestern look.
