Ervin Tsosie Navajo Micro Inlaid Sterling Silver Pendant

Spectacular Native American micro inlay pendant by Navajo Ervin Tsosie. Inlaid with a variety of stones, shells and tiny silver dots inlaid into a Sleeping Beauty Turquoise background. Even the bale is inlaid and on a curvature, no less. The pendant measures almost 1-7/8" wide by 3" long, including the bale. Item#2235

$ 1200.00     SOLD     Back

Fabulous Native American handmade pendant, created by Navajo artist, Ervin Tsosie. Ervin Tsosie is arguably one of the best Navajo micro-inlay artists working today.

Set in silver, the pendant and bale are both intricately inlaid with hundreds of tiny hand-cut, semi-precious stones, such as turquoise, coral, lapis, jet and mother of pearl. Even the bale is inlaid and on a curvature, no less. Tsosie's attention to detail is meticulous, and his pieces are so finely crafted, it boggles the mind.

The pendant measures almost 1-7/8" in diameter by 3" long, including the over-sized inlaid bale, by 1/4" thick and weighs 51.7 grams. The bale has a usable interior diameter of 1/2-inch, perfect for silver beaded necklaces or several strands of beads.

Brand new and in perfect condition. Gift Box and Certificate of Authenticity included. Hallmarked by the artist.

Ervin Tsosie is a self-taught artist. He has been making jewelry since he was 17, and much of his work is based on ceremonial and mythical figures and spiritual beings representing Navajo culture. His ideas come from meditation, ceremonials and prayer.

Tsosie’s work has appeared in various shows including the Santa Fe Indian Market and Intertribal Ceremonial, Gallup and can also be seen at many Southwestern shops and galleries.
