Old Dead Pawn Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace, Native American

Vintage Indian Dead Pawn sandcast silver and natural turquoise squash blossom necklace. Genuine turquoise, probably Calandaria. Fleur de Lys style squash blossoms. One of a kind Native American necklace. 25" end-to-end, 14" from back of neck to bottom of naja. circa 1960-70s.  Item# 1879

$ 550.00     SOLD     Back

This fabulous vintage dead pawn Native American sandcast silver and natural turquoise squash blossom necklace is at least 35 years old and is in excellent vintage condition.

The necklace is double stranded with handmade silver bench beads. There are 12 interesting sandcast "Fleur-de-Lys" style squash blossoms, set with genuine old turquoise stones. We are 95% sure that the turquoise used in this necklace is natural old Candalaria turquoise. No cracked or loose stones. The necklace tests positive for coin silver or better. The necklace is not signed.

  * 25" long from end to end
  * 14" hang from the neck
  * Naja: 3" x 2" in size
  * Blossoms: 1-5/8" long

This one of a kind piece will make a wonderful addition to your Native American jewelry collection.

I have also seen these "Fleur-de-Lys" style squash blossoms referred to by one Navajo artist as "corn blossoms".
