New Mexico Dead Pawn Navajo Indian Turquoise Sandcast Silver Bracelet

New Mexico Dead Pawn Native American Sandcast Sterling Silver & Turquoise bracelet. 1-1/2" wide at the center and the inside end-to-end measurement is 5-3/8 inches plus there is a 1-1/4 inch gap. Nice open design. Hallmarked G.S. by the artist. Item# 2789

$ 150.00     Available: 1     Back

This classic Dead Pawn Native American ~ Navajo ~ turquoise and sand cast silver bracelet was recently obtained from a nice little pawn shop in Gallup, New Mexico. All the jewelry from this pawn shop was pawned by Native Americans living in the local area. Gallup is the "pawn capital" and "Indian jewelry capital" of the Southwest, close to the Navajo and Zuni reservations.

Back to the bracelet: The big sand-cast design of this Navajo made sterling silver bracelet is timeless and classic. The      genuine turquoise stone is the color of a clear New Mexico sky with dark matrix. The stone is securely set in a serrated bezel and surrounded with twisted silver rope.

The bracelet measures over 1-1/2 inch wide and the inside end-to-end measurement is 5-3/8 inches plus there is a 1-1/4 inch gap. It weighs 77 grams! No adjustments are possible for this bracelet, so measure your wrist carefully.

This is a true dead pawn item obtained from a real New Mexico pawn shop. The exact age of the bracelet is unknown. The bracelet is marked sterling and also hallmarked G S, by the artist. Excellent condition! This bracelet would be a great addition to any collection, a fabulous piece to wear or the perfect gift!

My pawn shop dealers have told me that for the past few years, the percentage of pawn that goes unredeemed is quite small, making items of dead pawn among the most sought after Native American artifacts to be found on the market today.
